Other "weapon" of the seller is the knowledge. You should know: the business; the plan of marketing; the policy of the prices. It will help you in to discuss the prices with the buyers.
Besides, you should know the competitors.
You should know the goods you sell or use in the course of the enterprise activity well. You should be ready to discussion of the new materials, new ways of manufacture of the goods, new kinds of packing, i.e. all questions which are interesting to your clients.
It is necessary to know about advertising campaigns and the actions directed on stimulation of sale to be ready to discuss these questions with the buyers. You should know everything that is connected with a subject of your trade. You should understand well main differences of the goods. It can become your main "weapon" in the struggle against competitors. The goods can differ from each other. For example:
The country of manufacture of the goods — German beer, the American cigarettes, the Swiss chocolate;
The goods structure — absence of artificial additives, natural products;
The consumer properties of the goods —  the goods meet the requirements of the client or they don`t;
Special signs of the goods — simplicity in use, multipurpose appointment;
Reliability of the goods — the firm trade mark, good responses from other clients.
Using these distinctive signs it is possible to offer your goods or services. With their help one can explain the visitor how the goods can satisfy his requirements and persuade him to make a purchase.
